Mainstream-Max Optimized Config by Shadowdane
for Crysis / Crysis Warhead

After the success of my Gamer-Max Config, I had quite a few people ask me if I would make a higher performance version.  So I thought I would try to add some Eye Candy to the lower detail modes!   Things look pretty good right now, but I still want to try to add some more detail to this as long as performance doesn't drop too much.

As you can see in the screenshots below, you get a pretty decent jump in visuals over Mainstream.  I was able to add Lightrays, HDR Lighting, Color Grading and a few other effects usually only present in the Enthusiast setting!

Latest Version
Mainstream-Max v1.0 - Download (Released 11/08/2008)

Install Instructions

Right-Click and save the system.cfg file above into one of the following folders, or the proper location where you installed it.

Crysis: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\
Crysis Warhead: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis WARHEAD

You do not need to force Direct X 9, the config selects that automatically.  Once you install the file, load the game and enjoy!

System Requirements

Basically if you can run the game on the Mainstream setting, you'll run this config just fine.
